OTTO DIY V5 KIT Upgrade kit Sanwa JLF / JLX / Hori Hayabusa

The OTTO DIY V5 kit is one of the best upgrades we can make to our Sanwa JLF / JLX and Hori Hayabusa joysticks. The OTTO DIY V5 kit upgrades key parts of the Sanwa JLF joystick to improve its performance and movements making the game feel much more precise in its execution. This KIT is super easy to install and is in our opinion, a great mod that greatly improves our joystick. This product is geared for users who like to modify their joysticks and customize arcade parts.

The Sanwa JLF-TP-8YT Joystick / JLX has long been considered the standard in fighting games. The goal of this Kit is to improve control by using unique materials and modular parts that replace existing parts of our joystick.

The components of the OTTO DIY V5 Kit have been manufactured with polytetrafluoroethylene, commonly known as Teflon. This material significantly reduces friction between the components that must interact with each other. For example, the pivot and pivot core of the OTTO DIY V5 kit will hardly need any greasing, making joystick directional control very smooth.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This KIT is intended to be installed on the Sanwa JLF-TP-8YT / JLX model (not recommended for silent versions) or Hori Hayabusa joysticks (not optical silent either).

What is included in the KIT?

• Modular body - The OTTO DIY V5 modular body replaces the existing body found on the stock lever of the Sanwa JLF joystick, which is used for both V2 (Korean style) and V5 (JLF / JLX upgrade) kits.

• Set of screws and nuts: the gold plated screws replace the existing screws used to mount the Sanwa P-1 board or the Hayabusa board. To install the screws, we will need a 2mm hex wrench.
  
  
• Pivot Core - The pivot core is made of a soft Teflon material and connects to the modular body. It is interchangeable with the OTTO DIY V2 KIT grommet core.
  
  
• Pivot - Also made of Teflon, the pivot sits inside the pivot core. Accommodates your Sanwa JLF or Hori Hayabusa joystick shaft and replaces the existing pivot.
  
  
• 12mm, 12.5mm and 13mm Actuators - The actuator is used to actuate each microswitch plunger, with the 12.5mm and 13mm actuator designed to shorten the distance between the actuator and plunger and speed up actuation.
  
  
• Replacement square restrictor FD - This replacement square restrictor has a rounded area around the corners, allowing the top of the actuator to sit comfortably while still defining its corner.
  
  
• BYD Rounded Restrictor - Those desiring an octagonal restrictor may find this to be a worthwhile alternative. The restrictor increases the rounded edges around the corners, producing a more circular feel during play.
