Crown SDL-301-DX Bobbin for Tension Grommet

For Seimitsu, Sanwa Denshi and Hori joysticks, springs of different tension are used to modify the tension. On the other hand, Korean Crown joysticks use high-density grommets made of silicone rubber. The most common type of grommet is the HST35, where a higher number (ST...) indicates a higher resistance or tension. In the central part of these silicone rubber grommets we will also find a Bobbin made of PVC. In this case, the Crown SDL-301-DX  Bobbin model.

The Bobbin serves as a guide for the silicone tension grommet, mounting on the inside center and securing the joystick shaft. As the grommet and shaft move around the joystick body, the Bobbin can experience wear over time.
