This medium travel shaft and soft tension joystick will make you feel really comfortable playing  in any of the different arcade style games. The Sanwa JLF joystick stands out as being one of the easiest joysticks to use when executing combos in fighting games such as King of Fighters, Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter II, etc. You can also buy the Sanwa octagonal gate / restrictor, ideal for arcade fighting game fans. With this restrictor attached to the Sanwa JLF joystick, hadoukens and shoryukens will come out smooth as butter.

The Sanwa JLF-YP-8Y is also the preferred joystick installed in control panels such as the Mad Catz, Qanba, Mayflash Elite and an ideal choice in case you want to mod your Mayflash control panel.

The joystick comes in a package with everything you need for assembly: a thin metal mounting plate, dust washers (2x), TP-MA plate with welded-on microswitches and a 35mm ball.

The Sanwa JLF-TP-8YT already comes with a restrictor configured in 8-way movement, but it can also be easily set to 4-way mode by removing the plastic restrictor, lifting the centre piece and turning it to its new position.

This joystick is suitable for both wood and metal panels and if the handle falls short, at Arcade Express we sell a Shaft Extension that you can easily attach to the joystick.
