Joystick Arcade Sanwa JLW with 4 to 8 directions restrictor switching driven by a servomotor. Thanks to the servomotor we can change the restrictor configuration from 4 and 8 directions in less than a second. Requires control board.
Discover the incredible Sanwa JLW Servostick Arcade Joystick, the ultimate controller to take your gaming skills to the next level!
But what makes this Sanwa JLW Servostick so special? Well, its innovative and easy way of switching the joystick's restrictor gate between a 4 and 8 way configuration thanks to a servo motor installed in its base! Now, switching between these two configurations is faster than ever, in less than a second! You want precise control for your favorite fighting games, simply set the restrictor to 8 directions to master every move and combo. You prefer a more classic control for those old school games, then switch to the 4-way configuration with a single button touch.
The Sanwa JLW Arcade Joystick is designed with the quality and durability expected from an industry leading brand like Sanwa and installation is quick and easy. This convenient and useful joystick itself consists of 3 parts: the joystick itself, the motor (servo) and the control board, although the latter is not strictly necessary to be connected to a PC for the operation of the motor.
This control PCB board, which is sold separately, is the brain that powers the magic behind the Sanwa JLW Servostick. Powered through its mini-USB port, it will allow you to control and configure the restrictor switching with ease, being able to manage up to two joysticks at once.
On the other hand, the servomotor is very easy to connect to the controller board through its screw connectors enabled for this purpose. But, as we have mentioned before, it is not necessary that this controller board is connected to a PC for the motor to work. This board will only be necessary to connect it to a PC when we want to control the change from 4 to 8 configuration by software. When we want to make or control this change by hardware ("hardware mode"), a PC will not be necessary for the motor to work. To activate this "mode", it is necessary to use the corresponding software, of which we leave the download links below. Don't forget that the change to "hardware mode" is permanent. Without requiring a power supply, since the voltage needed for the controller board will be taken from its mini-USB port, the "hardware mode" will allow you to change the restrictor using two buttons or a switch.
Here's how to connect two buttons to the controller board so you can control the switching between 4 and 8 way configuration with those buttons:
If you prefer to put in a switch for switching between the 4 and 8 modes, you should connect the center terminal to ground (GND) and the end terminals to the GREEN and WHITE wires.
As mentioned above, we provide full software support, provided by ULTIMARC, which includes a test utility and a special utility, which can be launched via command line or GUI.
Don't forget that, although this is a Sanwa joystick, this particular model, JLW, needs to be connected to cables with 4.8mm faston connectors.
