QANBA Gravity JOV8 Silent Arcade Joystick

Qanba is a brand that has been gradually growing within the international arcade world. This brand began manufacturing Arcade Sticks, specifically the famous Qanba Obsidian, Qanba Pearl, Qanba Dragon and Qanba Drone. In recent years, Qanba has also started to design, develop and produce its own arcade joysticks and buttons, bringing a higher quality to its controllers and components. In 2021, Qanba launched its first mechanical push button, the Gravity model. This push button, somewhat unknown in Europe, has had great success and impact in the USA and the Asian market. So much so, that soon Qanba decided to develop its own joystick also with mechanical microswitches.

Qanba developed two joysticks using two different types of switches. One model with OMRON silent linear microswitches, the same found in their Gravity model pushbuttons. And a second model with Cherry microswitches model MX Grey. Both microswitches are characterized by being extremely quiet, which is Qanba's main objective.

The Qanba Gravity is a silent, agile and very precise joystick of medium tension and medium-short travel. The joystick tension can be modified with the 2 tension springs (2lb / 4lb) that are included when purchasing the QANBA Gravity JOV8. Two types of restrictors are also included, according to the player's preference: a square type one and a round one that offers more freedom of moves to more advanced players.

This joystick is compatible with many components used in Sanwa JLF joysticks. This is because they have a similar design and same dimensions. Among these compatible components are the octagonal restrictor, the different tension springs, the LB-35 ball top, LB-30N bat top, etc.

As for the design of the joystick we see that it has a beautiful black dust washer and shaft, a blue / black ball top that highlights the overall design of the rest of the joystick and a general black color in the rest of the body of the stick that gives it a very select touch from our point of view.
