5-Pin RGBS CGA Connector Cable for Arcade CRT Monitors and similar.
The 5-pin RGBS CGA cable is typically connected to the Jamma wiring of an arcade cabinet and its Arcade monitor chassis which normally runs at 15Khz RGB / CGA. This cable is compatible with arcade systems that use a 15 kHz analog RGBS CGA video signal.
This particular cable has a five pin connector on one end that goes connected to the monitor and 5 stripped wires on the other end. The five connectors include one for each color channel (red, green and blue), a horizontal sync connector and a vertical sync connector. The RGBS signal is transmitted through the three color connectors, while the two sync connectors provide the sync information needed to display the image on the CRT monitor.
This cable is a super popular product with arcade game enthusiasts who want to preserve the most authentic gaming experience possible and who enjoy playing on original CRT monitors. The RGBS CGA signal provides superior picture quality compared to the standard composite video signal used in many older home gaming systems.
