GBS8200 cga2vga CGA / EGA / YUV to VGA Video Converter

With the GBS 8200 video converter you can convert the signal from your 15Khz CGA/EGA/YUV Arcade Machine to a monitor with 31Khz VGA input.

Nowadays many people prefer the comfort of using a TFT / LCD monitor installed in their Arcade Cabinets and not the old heavy CRT monitors, which also stop working overtime. With the GBS 8200 video converter you can convert the signal from your favourite Arcade, Xbox, PlayStation machines to VGA monitors. Simply connect the RGB video output of your Jamma cable to the PCB and all you have to do is connect a monitor to the VGA input.

The GBS 8200 converter has Auto scan function and identifies CGA/EGA/YUV signals automatically by converting them from 15Khz to 31Khz. It also supports 640x480, 800x600, 1024x768 and 1360x768 VGA resolutions.

This great video converter also allows you to control the geometry of the video image by moving it up, down, left and right in case of misalignment. The GBS 8200 also has 3 knobs for video image colour balance - Green, Blue and Red.

To power up the board, you will need a power supply with 5V output or use the 5V DC input cable that we included in the package with the board. The package includes an 8-pin RGB cable and a 2-pin 5V DC input cable. We do not recommend using 12V as the board can be damaged.
