JammASD V3 Card PC to Jamma USB / Mister FPGA Adapter

Arcade Express is proud to present one of its flagship products: The Jamma ASD Board Interface, the hypervitamined equivalent of Ultimarc's J-PAC. Made in Italy by ASD (Advance Systems Development), you are looking at a top notch high-quality encoder board. 

The JammASD board is used to connect your PC / Raspberry Pi / Mister FPGA to a Jamma Arcade Cabinet. This new version of the board is connected via the USB port of the computer and not the already, somewhat outdated, parallel port. The JammaASD will allow you to completely configure your arcade buttons and joysticks by simply connecting the JAMMA cable wiring of your Arcade Cabinet to the JammASD PCB. A software is included which will allow you to configure many different options regarding controllers, sound, Hot keys, etc.

This little monster has 32 digital and 8 analogue inputs supporting up to 8 action push buttons per player + joysticks, Coin & Start buttons. It is important to note that the 6,7 and 8 buttons are only available through the PCBs screw connectors and not directly via the JAMMA wiring.

This board is 100% Plug & Play. Once connected to your PC / Raspberry / Mister FPGA it will be detected as an HID, more specifically as a keyboard and therefore no drivers are necessary.

As for the video, the JammASD card has a VGA SubD15 connector that outputs the video signal. Please note that this card does not convert the signal by itself to 15Khz. To do so, you will need either an Arcadevga graphics card or some software that converts the video signal such as Soft15Khz, Winmodelines, etc. The card also includes a video amplifier to boost the video signal in case the signal is weak.

The JammASD also has a stereo sound amplifier and a specific RCA connector to connect LightGun guns. Another feature of this amazing board is that it has a monitor protection system against potentially harmful frequencies. This is controlled through a fully reprogrammable chip by software and which will adapt to each project needs.
